24 July 2018 | Written by Chris Alexander

From 8-12 August 2018, Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week returns to the Pavilion Bukit Bintang. Now in its sixth year, the event was conceptualized in 2013 as a platform for Malaysian designers to showcase their Ready to Wear Collections and highlight the creativity of the nation’s Fashion Industry to both local and international Consumers.

The goal of the fashion show is to develop the retail landscape for local Malaysian designers, and ultimately, cement KLFW’s reputation as one of the most prominent and influential fashion platforms in Malaysia. Spread out over five days in the nation’s capital, the event features a range of events, pop-up bazaars and exhibitions, all geared towards promoting the unique stylings of Malaysia to consumers, retailers and international fashionistas.

From this year onward, KLFW have outlined plans to further develop the industry by initiating dialogues between manufacturers, textile and print experts and creating a knowledge-driven component to their main event in order to advance the competitive standing of Malaysia’s fashion industry.
