More New Arrivals From Japan, As ANA Announces New Flights
11 April 2017 | Panorama Destination

Japanese airline All Nippon Airways (ANA) is set to add one extra flight schedule to serve the Jakarta-Tokyo route.

Scheduled to commence on Aug. 2, the new flight will depart from Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Tangerang and shall use a Dreamliner 787-8 aircraft. ANA’s latest flight will connect Indonesia’s capital with Haneda International Airport in Tokyo.

The additional flight has been opened primarily to accommodate the increased demand of Indonesian tourists wishing to visit Japan. However, with Japanese arrivals to Indonesia continuing to grow, this new provision will allow for even greater growth and diversity in the destinations open to Japanese inbound tourists.

The airline’s Jakarta office Sales Administrator, Bradley Pardede, explained their reasoning to Kompas and the Jakarta Post in late March, along with his projections for the new route. Bradley explained that the airline’s occupancy for the Jakarta-Tokyo flight was considered good, especially during holiday seasons.

“In March or April, the occupancy could reach over 90 percent as it is a sakura season, which is a high season,” he added.
