Banyan Tree Branches Out in Krabi
02 December 2019 | Written by Chris Alexander

Next spring, Thailand will welcome a brand-new luxury Banyan Tree hotel to the popular shores of Krabi on the nation’s sun-kissed southern coastline. The Singapore-based luxury hotel group have confirmed Banyan Tree Krabi will become the group’s ninth property in Thailand.

Located on Tubkaek Beach, the hotel will feature 72 rooms, combining pool suites and villas; guests will be able to choose from a total of seven two-bedroom and one three-bedroom villa.

All-day dining facilities at Banyan Tree Krabi will be complemented by a beach club, ballroom, wedding chapel, fitness centre and a unique rainforest-themed spa. For families travelling with children, a dedicated kids’ club will keep the little ones occupied and entertained, letting parents get some time to themselves to enjoy the facilities and explore the hotel’s spectacular location.

Nestled between the verdant forest areas of Krabi’s Mu Ko Phi Phi and Khao Ngon Nak national parks, the new hotel is also just 35km from Krabi Airport, giving it the perfect combination of a remote location that’s easy to access.

First established in 1994, Banyan Tree Holdings Limited is an international hospitality brand. Although it has its roots in Singapore, the group has branches reaching out into America, Africa and the Middle East, along with many hotels and spas in Asia. Since the group opened their first Thai property in Phuket twenty years ago, their portfolio has expanded to include villas, resorts, spas and hotels across Thailand, including five more properties in Phuket, along with two in Bangkok and Samui.

Banyan Tree Krabi will begin taking bookings between April and June 2020.
