Starting from 27th October 2019, Vietnam Airlines will launch direct flights connecting Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) with Phuket, Thailand. The new flight schedule will operate three days a week, setting off every Tuesday, Friday and Sunday.

“Apart from offering a new, exciting non-stop service, [the new route will] also facilitate international travellers from Europe, Japan, South Korea and many other parts of the world to easily access famous destinations like Phuket via Vietnam Airlines’ connecting flights,” said Le Hong Ha, who is the Executive Vice President of Vietnam Airlines.

The newest flights to Phuket are set to become Vietnam Airlines’ third offering in Thailand. Departing from Saigon at 3.50 pm every Tuesday, Friday and Sunday, the return flight from Phuket will depart at 6.40 pm local time. Vietnam Airlines intends to extend the frequency of the new flights to a daily service by the end of March 2020. The new service will be operated by Airbus A321 aircraft.

As part of the new flight schedules, the airline confirmed it will also resume its Danang – Bangkok service on 27 October 2019, departing daily from Danang at 3.20 pm and from Bangkok at 6.00 pm.
