Here you will have the chance to experience the colours, sounds and smells of a typical Asian fresh food market, while your guide picks up food and refreshment for lunch. You’ll visit Wat Phrathad Chom Thong You then continue to Doi Inthanon National Park. Upon entering the park, you will immediately notice the change: houses and roads make place for trees and streams, while mountains take over from the vast fields in the Mae Ping valley. You’ll visit the twin chedi which was built by Thailand’s Airforce to honour King Bhumibol and Queen Sirikit; and the summit, containing the shrine of Chao Inthawitchayanon, the former prince of Chiang Mai.
Then meet with your ranger, a local Karen who will guide you to the unforgettable trek. After about an hour, you will reach the first waterfall. Cross the stream and climb up to the next waterfall, where picnic lunch will be taken. Here you will also have enough time to swim and relax. After the rest, continue hiking alongside the stream. After walking through the forest and passing yet another beautiful waterfall, you will complete the trek where your driver will be waiting for you.
You’ll have a chance to taste the local grown Arabica coffee at Karen Village. Most of the villagers work at the coffee plantation project, the quality of which you will be able to sample, while chatting with your Karen hosts.
