What to Expect

Bali, is renowned worldwide for its magnificent beaches, amazing rice terraces, picturesque temples, arts and crafts, and for the colorful Hindu-Buddhist culture of the Balinese people. For the deeply religious Balinese, every aspect of life is governed by ancient rituals, and shrines with offerings to the gods are seen everywhere throughout the island. Bali is both a paradise and a playground; home to a whole host of activities, adventures, stories and magical secrets just waiting to be explored. It is not only for sustenance of the body, but also for the mind and spirit. Bali is a heavenly destination for holidays.

What You Will Do

Day 1

Arrival Bali – Ubud

(No Meals)

Upon your arrival at Ngurah Rai International Airport in Denpasar, meet and greet with your dedicated English-speaking guide, who will escort you to your hotel in Ubud. Check-in and the remainder of the day is free at your own leisure.

Day 2

Barong Dance – Ubud City Tour

Breakfast served at the hotel. Drive to Batu Bulan Village to enjoy the famous Balinese performance Barong Dance. The Barong figure itself is performed at five different stages, illustrating the balance of goodness and badness side in everyday bustle and hustle of life. Lunch will be provide at local restaurant.

In the afternoon, drive to Ubud center visiting Saraswati Temple dedicated to Saraswati, the Goddess of wisdom, knowledge and the arts who has clearly given her blessings to Ubud. A guided walking tour takes you to Ubud Palace, also known as Puri Saren. Explore the designated area at the residence of Ubud royal family and observe the Balinese royal residence. Continue walking to Ubud Market just across the palace. Practive your bargaining skills on local silk scarves, handmade woven bags, baskets, hats, wooden statues, kites, and many other local handicraft products. A stroll in the over 12-hectare Ubud Monkey Forest that is home to a population of chattering long-tailed macaques then drive back to the hotel. Evening at your own leisure.

Day 3

Ubud – Rumah Desa – Ubud

Breakfast served at the hotel. Visit Rumah Desa for explore the culture of Bali and take you further and deeper into the traditional way of life with activities of Balinese people such as making handicraft, cooking class, trekking and farming. Lunch will be provided at Rumah Desa.
Return back to hotel evening at your own leisure.

Day 4

Ubud – Gunung Kawi – Tirta Empul – Kintamani – Ubud

Breakfast served at hotel and get ready to discover the religious aspects of Balinese life that can be observed through the ancient rituals and shrines with offering to the gods. Dress modestly with arms and knees covered as a way of respect. Morning visit to Gunung Kawi temple located at Tampak Siring village situated in Pekrisan river, an archaeological complex carved out of the living rock. The temple offers beautiful views of lush vegetation and a footpath down approximately 300 stone steps to reach the temple, passing through spectacular rice terraces.
Continue to Tirta Empul temple, famous for its holy water to which Balinese worshipers have been drawn for more than a thousand years. Lunch will be served while you enjoy a beautiful panorama of Kintamani, with spectacular views over Lake Batur and its volcano, Mt Batur. Although Mt Batur(1412m) is not the highest volcano in Bali, it is the most active and is surrounded by an impressive caldera. Take a journey back to Ubud and enjoy you evening at your own leisure.

Day 5

Ubud – Jatiluwih – Bedugul – Alas Kedaton – Tanah Lot – Nusa Dua

Breakfast served at hotel. Morning drive to the west of Bali, explore Tabanan regency for its natural beauty. Before the crowds arrive, you can enjoy Jatiluwih, a spacious rice terrace design found only in Bali. Due to Subak irrigation systems, UNESCO appointed this place as a world Heritage Site in 2012. Here you may enjoy a short walk through the rice fields to make the most of the fresh and cool morning air.

Heading to Bedugul with a stop at Candikuning, a colourful local market where you can find fresh fruits and vegetables, spices and exotic flowers. Lunch will be provided at local restaurant. Continue for a visit to Alas Kedaton, a small forest inhabited by hundreds of wild monkeys. The locals believe these monkeys are the guardians of the small temple which sits inside the forest.

Continue to Bali’s most famous sight, Tanah Lot. Built on the top of rock in the Indian Ocean just a few hundred meters offshore. Watch the rough sea clutching into the coast and have a look around to find the best spot sunset around 18h00. Transfer to your hotel in Nusa Dua and evening at your own leisure.
