A Message from Panorama Destination Indonesia
Hello from Indonesia!
First and foremost, there’s an important update to share will with any clients intending to make the trip in September: in response to global concerns about the mpox virus, Indonesia has introduced a new entry protocol to keep everyone safe. Starting from 29 August, the SATUSEHAT Health Pass is now a mandatory requirement for all passengers and flight personnel entering Indonesia.
Before flying, all visitors will need to complete the SATUSEHAT Health Pass electronic self-declaration form online via this link. Please remind your clients to fill this out before departure, to ensure a smooth entry when they arrive in Indonesia. If you have any questions or concerns, we’ll be happy to help.
These safety precautions are especially relevant at the moment, as Indonesia is currently enjoying its peak holiday season. Last month (August), we welcomed large numbers of clients from all over the world, demonstrating the enduring appeal of these magical islands for international travellers, and reiterating the importance of keeping everyone safe during their stay.
September is set to be another busy month ahead, especially in Bali, where we have already made a large number of bookings for the coming weeks. In addition to the island’s many cultural and natural attractions, Bali is also a popular hub for major events – several international conferences are scheduled to be held there this month.
There are some important dates coming up in the events calendar nationwide too. From 4-6 September, one of the most illustrious visitors to Indonesia will be Holy Father, Pope Francis, who is set to visit Jakarta on an official state visit from the Vatican. During his trip, he will be a keynote at the Indonesia Sustainability Forum at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC).
This month, Panorama Destination Indonesia will be attending the International & French Travel Market (IFTM) in Paris from 17-19 September. If you’re also attending, you can find our booth at B019. We hope to see you there!
As one of the main sellers at the event, we will be promoting tours and packages to some of the most popular, and lesser-visited locations in Indonesia, including Sumatra, Java, Bali, Lombok and Komodo (Labuan Bajo). Each of these destinations has something special to offer.
If your clients are looking to visit Indonesia this autumn, we’ll be happy to you create the perfect trip for them. Feel free to get in touch if you have any questions or special requirements. We look forward to working with you soon.
Best regards,
Ricky Setiawanto,
Director of Business Development, Panorama Destination Indonesia.

Airport authorities have installed three thermal scanners in international arrivals as they focus on disease prevention. Should the airport operator find any passenger showing indications of mpox infection, they will coordinate with the health quarantine agency for further medical treatment. According to Handy Heryudhitiawan, the airport’s general manager, “passengers with mpox symptoms will first be isolated in the airport clinic at the airport’s international terminal area, before being taken to hospital for further examination.”
