Garuda Flies 1.5 Million Passengers Over Christmas and New Year

Garuda Indonesia has announced that during the Christmas holiday period in 2016 and New Year 2017, it successfully transported a total of 1,530,414 passengers during one month.

In addition, the airline successfully completed level flight punctuality / on time performance (OTP) at a rate of 88.85 percent combined for domestic and international routes.

VP Corporate Communications Garuda Indonesia, Benny S. Butarbutar confirmed that the rate of OTP during the holiday period of Christmas 2016 and New Year 2017 had increased compared to the same period last year.

“The level of OTP Nataru this year is likely to increase compared with the period 2015/2016 Nataru years ago, which only reached 85.00 percent” said Benny.

In addition to an increase in OTP, the frequency of flights and the number of passengers also increased over New Year when compared to the same period in 2015/2016.

In total, 14,824 flights (12,824 domestic and 2,000 international) were successfully operated by Garuda Indonesia during the holiday period.

Benny S. Butarbutar attributed the increase in passengers and OTP over the New Year year period to the full support of the service teams, infrastructure managers and also the cooperation of passengers flying with Garuda Indonesia.
