InterContinental Resort Bali Opens New Sayana Lounge Exclusive New Facilities For Early Arrivers and Late Leavers
It’s a common cause of irritation for travellers and holiday makers; arriving at your hotel before the official check-in time, then waiting in a kind of stasis for the holiday to begin. It can be equally frustrating to have to check out at a fixed time, just as you’re getting used to your new surroundings.
The InterContinental Resort in Bali is helping to make these problems a thing of the past. This week the hotel proudly opened its brand new Sayana Lounge – a purpose-designed resting place which offers lockers, showers and changing facilities, as well as a plush lounge and open air terrace, where guests can enjoy an extended stay, free of charge until either their room is ready or until their scheduled time of departure.
The name comes from Sanskrit – Sayana (सायन), meaning ‘a place for rest before journeying again to Ayana.’ “Ayana” itself means “our true goal, direction” or more specifically “a good path” in terms of one’s life journey. Located on the ground floor of the Resort, the Sayana lounge will ensure all visitors’ journeys are as comfortable and hospitable as can be, from start to finish, with no more precious holiday time wasted in stasis between checking in or out.
The chic and elegant 24-hour lounge resonates with the essence of Bali – showcasing local craftsmanship and intricate wood carved features, to ensure that the ambience of the island greets guests upon their arrival and remains with them until the moment of their departure. The lounge is furnished with air conditioning, comfortable seating and a refreshment bar, along with TV, Wi-Fi, universal power points and complimentary tea and coffee making facilities. Outside the main lounge is a large open-air veranda, with plentiful cushioned seating overlooking the Resort’s beautiful lagoon.
International travel can be tiring, so Sayana Lounge is the perfect place to relax and unwind after a long flight, watch the latest entertainment, catch up on emails, or shower and change after a day beside the pool before being transferred to the airport.
