Famous British chef Gordon Ramsay is set to make his restaurant debut in Malaysia later this year, with the grand opening of the Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill at the Sunway Resort in Klang Valley, Petaling Jaya. The multi-Michelin-starred chef and famous TV star will begin service this June, making his restaurant the first-ever outlet under the Gordon Ramsey name to be opened outside of Mayfair in London.
Located in the lobby of Sunway Resort, the Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill will feature contemporary interiors and grand floor-to-ceiling windows, accentuating the stunning views over Sunway Lagoon. Against this spectacular backdrop, visitors can expect to enjoy fine dining; the restaurant will serve breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner and cocktails; courtesy of one of the world’s most revered and recognizable chefs.
“We are delighted to be partnering with the Sunway Group as we expand our Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill concept into Malaysia,” explains Andy Wenlock, who is CEO of Gordon Ramsay Restaurants. “We very much look forward to sharing our wonderful menu and famed guest experience with local and international diners in 2021,” he added.
These diners can look forward to an upmarket gastronomic experience, with private rooms catering to intimate events and special occasions; available by advance booking only, these are likely to be the hottest ticket in town in 2021. The restaurant is already taking reservations, in advance of what is expected to be a busy and popular opening period in the spring and summer.
The Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill will serve up an eclectic all-day menu that covers everything from snacks and light bites, to Gordon Ramsay’s signature dishes, made famous on his TV programme Hell’s Kitchen and in his internationally renowned cook books. These recipes are likely to include his signature beef Wellington and sticky toffee pudding, along with other British classics, such as fish & chips.
Guests staying in Sunway Resort’s specialist suites will be able to enjoy a daily breakfast at the Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill, which will be included in their rate. This is likely to make Sunway’s one of the world’s most sought-after hotel breakfasts.
