IndiGo Launches New Flights From India to Malaysia This November
05 November 2018 | Written by Chris Alexander

Starting from 15th November 2018, India’s low-cost carrier will open a set of new flights connecting two major cities in the subcontinent with the Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur. Delhi and Bengaluru will provide departure points for Indian travellers looking to visit Malaysia this holiday season and beyond. The new services will be operated by Airbus A-320 aircraft.

“We are pleased to announce Kuala Lumpur as our 12th international destination effective November 2018,” said William Boulter, CCO of IndiGo, in a recent interview with the Times of India. “Malaysia provides a complete package for business travellers, holidaymakers, the meeting and conference segment. We see great potential on the India-Malaysia route due to the extensive cultural, business and tourism links between the two countries. IndiGo will continue to expand its network to meet the requirements of both business and leisure travellers wherever they demand it,” he continued.

The new flights from IndiGo form part of their wider plan for expansion into more mid-range destinations, along with several long-haul flights scheduled for operation in early 2019. With the many cultural, historical and professional ties linking India with Malaysia, combined with the competitiveness of their fares, IndiGo is banking on success on the new route starting from November 2018.
