26 December 2018 | Written by Chris Alexander

Meliá Hotels International has announced the signing of INNSIDE Kuala Lumpur Cheras, an urban hotel located within an integrated development project called Eko Cheras in Malaysia’s capital. The project has taken a green and sustainable design approach. With Meliá Kuala Lumpur already operational and a further three properties in the pipeline, INNSIDE Kuala Lumpur Cheras will become the fifth property for Meliá Hotels International in Malaysia.

INNSIDE Kuala Lumpur Cheras will be conveniently located within a 4-storey shopping mall of 288 retail outlets and 105 office suites, allowing guests to switch seamlessly from work to play. The property will offer a total of 238 rooms with contemporary decor across its 13 floors, including an executive lounge on the rooftop that enjoys excellent views of the surrounding area. Located right next to MRT and only an hour’s drive from Kuala Lumpur International Airport, INNSIDE Kuala Lumpur Cheras is expected to cater mostly to the many modern-day work-trippers who travel to Kuala Lumpur.

“Malaysia is one of our key development markets in Asia Pacific and we’re proud to bring our INNSIDE by Meliá brand to its capital,” says Bernardo Cabot, who is the Regional Vice President of Meliá Hotels International Asia Pacific. “With strategic location, convenient transportation and smartly designed facilities, INNSIDE by Meliá brings a unique accommodation experience for travellers looking to connect with the destination and easily switch from work to play during their stay,” he continued. The new property indicates Melia’s commitment to the Asia Pacific region.

The new hotel will provide creative meeting facilities, a 24/7 fitness centre that includes a swimming pool, and a green terrace with a gardening deck. INNSIDE Kuala Lumpur Cheras is scheduled to open in late 2019.
