Panorama Destination Gears Up for the Return of MotoGP
02 July 2022 | Written by Chris Alexander

Panorama Destination has become an official partner of the Petronas Grand Prix of
Malaysia, also known as the Malaysian MotoGP. Hosted at the Sepang International Circuit
(SIC), the event is expected to attract around 10,000 international tourists for a weekend of
full-throttle racing entertainment.

Scheduled to take place from 21-23 October 2022, the penultimate race in the MotoGP
calendar is expected to draw massive crowds from around the world. Panorama Destination
will support race organisers in promoting the event, while also bringing tourists into
Malaysia to experience the adrenaline and excitement first hand.

Fans of motorsports will have the chance to meet their idols and get up close and personal
with some of the sport’s biggest names, including Marc Marquez, Franco Morbidelli, Jack
Miller, Pecco Bagnaia, Andrea Dovizioso and many more.

In addition to the main event, visitors to the SIC will be able to enjoy a wide range of
motorsport attractions. This includes a public pit lane walk and a riders’ autograph session
on 21 October; tours of the track, held from 21-23 October; and the MotoGP MEGA
Carnival, scheduled to last all weekend.

Tickets are currently on sale for the grandstand, hill stand and tribune areas, with add-on
packages available for parking, transportation, tours and F&B offerings. A variety of
hospitality packages are also available, including corporate suites, VIP passes to the MotoGP
village and access to the north and south corporate platforms.

The MotoGP has been running in Malaysia since 1991. Events over race weekends involve a
total of 83 riders, reaching speeds of up to 300kmph over three classes of Championship
races (Moto3, Moto2 and MotoGP). The last time SIC hosted the race, a record 170,778
spectators came to watch. Organisers are hoping 2022 will be similarly well-attended.

The return of the MotoGP to Malaysia is a positive sign that tourism is returning to normal.
With support from Panorama Destination, the race is helping tourism go up a gear in the
months ahead.
