Vertigo Reaches New Heights in Kuala Lumpur
25 July 2018 | Written by Chris Alexander

Located on the 59th floor of the newly opened Banyan Tree Kuala Lumpur, Vertigo officially opened its doors to the public on 10th July 2018. In addition to the breath-taking views, Kuala Lumpur’s newest rooftop bar offers an evening of accomplished mixologists, a signature menu featuring Southeast Asian-inspired tapas and a line-up of some of the hottest DJs from Malaysia and beyond.

Vertigo’s grand opening was a movie-themed celebration, reminiscent of a Hollywood premiere red-carpet gala. Among the distinguished guests was Malaysian singer, Dayang Nurfaizah, who entertained the crowd with a setlist that included classic hits and current chart-toppers.

“Vertigo and Banyan Tree Kuala Lumpur as a hotel, have set a clear and definitive vision to be the most exclusive urban luxury resort within the city,” remarked General Manager, Anders Dimblad.   “Our ambition is to exceed customer expectation, creating and delivering remarkable guest experiences that combine Banyan Tree’s signature service standard coupled with highly-acclaimed Malaysian hospitality,” he continued.

“While Kuala Lumpur is already known for its vibrant nightlife, I would like to think no one has seen anything quite like Vertigo; with its direct, unobstructed views of the city from the 59th floor!” Said Mr. Dimblad.

In addition to Vertigo, Banyan Tree Kuala Lumpur’s first urban resort will also feature the award-winning Banyan Tree Spa, a state-of-the-art fitness facility with a stunning open-air swimming pool, three boardrooms to hold intimate executive meetings, and three other dining venues with stunning views of Kuala Lumpur.

Guests can look forward to a comprehensive and indulgent experience. Unique to Banyan Tree Kuala Lumpur are in-room facilities, including the brand’s signature aromatherapy essential oils and a chromotherapy shower in all room categories. Selected suites will also feature a private relaxation pool. As Mr Dimblad explained: “guests at Vertigo can revel in a distinct offering that is unique only to us – this is the Banyan Tree signature experience and our guests will find this throughout our entire establishment, with world-class hospitality for which the brand is renowned.”

The newly opened Banyan Tree Kuala Lumpur is strategically located at the centre of Kuala Lumpur’s Golden Triangle. It boasts 55 rooms and suites, ranging from 51 to 200 square metres, with most rooms offering unobstructed views of the Kuala Lumpur skyline, including a view of the Petronas Twin Towers and KL Tower.
