The new hotel, named COSI Krabi Ao Nang Beach, is expected to open its doors by 2020. Centara Hotels & Resorts made the announcement and confirmed their partnership with Chuan Development Hotel Company Limited at Centara’s headquarters in Bangkok last month.
The COSI brand debuted its first property on Koh Samui in December 2017, followed by a second in Pattaya earlier this year. Krabi has been chosen as the location for the third COSI hotel due to the budding popularity of the region amongst tourists in Thailand.
“COSI represents our most creative ideas about serving a growing market segment of freedom-loving, connected travellers,†said Thirayuth Chirathivat, Centara’s CEO. “They’re more interested in flexibility, fun and shared experiences than traditional hotel frills. We plan to open COSIs in the most popular destinations to serve them,†he continued.
Through innovations that are indicative of this modern ethos, COSI hotels feature self-service kiosks that reduce waiting times for check-in and check-out. In addition, the hotels dining options are much more contemporary than traditional banquet facilities; guests can enjoy a 24/7 social and media hub, where they can refresh with snacks while connecting with friends in an open and informal environment.
The new hotel will feature a total of 142 rooms, each with modern and minimalist designs, where guests can connect smartphones directly to the TV, allowing for greater personalised entertainment options. Each room also features five USB ports to ensure all guests at COSI can recharge without the need for cumbersome adapters.

Centara is scheduled to open COSI Krabi Ao Nang Beach by 2020.
