The Thai resort town of Ao Nang in Krabi province is celebrating the grand opening of its first branded beachfront property, with the arrival of Centara Ao Nang Beach Resort & Spa Krabi. Operated by Centara Hotels & Resorts, the new upscale hotel can be reached in just over half an hour from Krabi International Airport, while also offering beautiful beachside views of the Andaman Sea and a gateway to many popular destinations in the south of Thailand.
Centara Ao Nang Beach Resort & Spa Krabi has a total of 179 bedrooms and suites, ranging in size from 39 to 81 sqm. All rooms are elegantly appointed, featuring modern design and an abundance of natural light, along with convenient facilities such as Smart TVs and free Wi-Fi. Pool access rooms allow guests to step straight into the resort’s tropical outdoor pool from their private terrace, while other suites offer their own private plunge pools for guest to enjoy.
“We are delighted to welcome guests to Centara Ao Nang Beach Resort & Spa Krabi, as we introduce a new era of international hospitality to this vibrant destination,” said Michael Gaarde-Nielsen, who is the general manager of Centara’s newest resort. “With our stunning seafront location, choice of accommodation, exceptional amenities and warm Thai service, I am confident that this outstanding new resort will become a firm favourite among couples and families alike,” he added.
The resort is ideally suited to family getaways; its beachfront location provides plenty of tropical adventures right on the doorstep, while dedicated family residences come equipped with bunk beds, kitchenettes and a range of additional facilities. The Camp Safari is Centara’s kids’ club, where parents can entrust their little ones to a team of experienced staff, then head off for some pampering at the resort’s spa, unwind in the bar, chill poolside or get some exercise in the gym.
First formed in 1983, Centara is now Thailand’s leading hotel group, with a total of 43 properties nationwide, a further 32 in operation and 11 under development. In Krabi alone, Centara currently has three other properties: Centara Grand Beach Resort & Villas Krabi, Centara Anda Dhevi Resort & Spa Krabi, and Centra by Centara Phu Pano Resort Krabi. Each hotel places a strong emphasis on providing Thai-influenced hospitality, and has been built in harmony with the local environment. Centara Ao Nang Beach Resort & Spa Krabi becomes Centara’s fourth property to open in the region.
