New Travelodge Thailand Property Leads Asian Expansion

Travelodge have opened a brand-new property in Bangkok, Thailand. Named the Travelodge Sukhumvit 11, the new property is a newly built hotel situated on one of Bangkok’s most popular and vibrant streets – the famous Sukhumvit Soi 11, Conveniently located in the heart of the city, the hotel offers guests easy access to all that Thailand’s fascinating and lively capital city has to offer.

The newest branch of the globally recognised hotel chain is Travelodge’s second property in Thailand. This new hotel is a frontrunner for future properties slated for construction in the region. In a recent announcement, Stephen Burt, Chairman of Travelodge Asia and Jonathan Wigley, CEO of Travelodge Thailand, announced plans for the continued growth of the company’s portfolio in Asia.

In addition to the Travelodge Sukhumvit 11 in Bangkok, the company also has the Travelodge Pattaya in its portfolio, with more openings scheduled for Chiang Mai, Bangkok, Khon Kaen, Hua Hin, Jomtien, Phuket and Samui.

Beyond Thailand, Travelodge Kowloon and Travelodge Central Hollywood Road in Hong Kong recently opened with properties in Malaysia, Singapore and Vietnam to be announced shortly. By 2020 Travelodge is expected to have a minimum of 15 properties in Thailand and a total of 40 throughout the Asia region.

Travelodge is already a household name, with numerous properties spanning the globe from North America, to Europe, Australia and New Zealand. The brand’s global coverage is expected to increase further with the newest projects announced for Thailand and Asia region.
