Rosewood Hotels and Resorts have opened their first Southeast Asia resort, situated on the 600-metre secluded beach of Emerald Bay in Phuket.
The Rosewood Phuket features a total of 71 rooms – each offering sea-facing views. The new hotel also offers four distinctive dining choices, with its very own Ta Khai restaurant, providing the best in local ingredients and recipes; Red Sauce, providing Italian cuisine; and seafood eatery The Shack. In addition, the resort also features a poolside lounge, simply called Mai.
Rosewood Phuket’s facilities include a fitness centre, the Rosewood Explorers children’s facility and beachside infinity pool. For travellers seeking wellness programmes, Asaya is The Rosewood’s holistic wellness concept, offering a range of alternative therapies, lifestyle coaching, fitness activities and specialized healing treatments. The property can also accommodate luxurious and elegant wedding celebrations, thanks to its 243-sqm glass house, courtyard, garden and beach lawn.
The resort is committed to sustainable and eco-friendly operations, with a number of environmental efforts contributing to its green ethos; rainwater harvesting provides all the resort’s water supply, whilst the Rosewood also features a solar energy system and a coral reef project. Working closely with the navy and local government, the resort has created 340 artificial reef structures in the bay to help replenish marine life in the region.
“Environmentally conscious guests will appreciate both this spectacular setting and the measures that are taken to protect it,” said Andrew Turner, the resort’s managing director. “The preservation of this environment is of primary importance to us, not only for its demonstrable economic benefits, but to maintain it for the enjoyment of visitors in perpetuity.”
With the perfect blend of a beautiful location, luxuriant facilities and an environmentally conscious approach to business, The Rosewood Phuket is set to be the region’s latest and greatest beachside resort experience.
