02 July 2019 | Written by Chris Alexander

An agreement has been signed for Accor to manage The Windsor Suites Hotel in Bangkok, to be revamped and rebranded as Grand Mercure Windsor in 2021. The 34-story hotel is located along Sukhumvit Soi 20, featuring an executive lounge, 456 rooms, six dining outlets, a fitness centre, a wellness spa and a helipad on its rooftop.

The Windsor Suites Hotel Bangkok will undergo an extensive refurbishment of its public areas, guest rooms and dining outlets at the end of 2019, to be completed in the next two years. Vice president of Windsor Suites Hotel, Bundit Bosereewong, states that the hotel is pleased to join with Accor and continue their family’s hospitality legacy.

“Since the opening of our first property over 50 years ago, travellers have come to stay at Windsor Suites to enjoy being in the centre of one of the world’s most exciting cities,” says Bosereewong. “We are so excited to continue evolving our grandfather’s dream, building upon this strong partnership and creating a boundless future,” he continued.

Accor operates 83 hotels in Thailand, with 13 more hotels scheduled to open over the next five years. Currently, the group manages a portfolio of 44 Grand Mercure hotels across Asia-Pacific.
