AccorHotels have confirmed they will continue their expansion of the recently acquired Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts brand with two more properties, in Van Phong and Halong Bay, respectively. The two new hotels are slated to open in late 2021.
Located just 130km from Cam Ranh International Airport, Mövenpick Resort Van Phong will feature 200 rooms and suites, along with 100 villas, two restaurants, an outdoor pool, a spa and a fitness centre. For MICE, the property will offer a ballroom that has a capacity for 300 people, along with a range of meeting rooms.
The Mövenpick Resort & Spa Halong Bay will be located in the iconic UNESCO World Heritage site in Northern Vietnam, and will feature a total of 325 rooms. The hotel will also provide convenient access to the area’s main tourist attractions and the popular activities on Halong Road and Halong Bay Cruise Port. Like its sister property in Van Phong, the resort will feature two restaurants, a rooftop pool and lounge with a view of the bay, a spa, fitness centre, a 300-seater ballroom and a selection of meeting rooms.
In addition, both hotels will feature the signature MÓ§venpick Chocolate Hour, which allows guests to sample delicious Swiss chocolate daily in the lobby.

AccorHotels is currently the biggest international hotel operator in Vietnam, providing a total of 6,101 rooms across all its brands. The group’s other hotels in Vietnam include Mövenpick Resort Cam Ranh and Mövenpick Hotel Hanoi. They are expected to open another 13 hotels across Vietnam in the next two years, bringing their total portfolio to 41, adding to the 80 properties the group currently has in 24 countries worldwide.
