A message from Panorama Destination Indonesia
Hello from Jakarta!
Indonesia is in the midst of its school holiday period at the moment, and we’re seeing a surge in family travellers across many of the nation’s most popular destinations. With European summer holidays also underway, July and August are shaping up to be an exceptionally strong high season—surpassing even last year’s figures for inbound travel.
As part of our ongoing commitment to sustainability and carbon reduction, I’m pleased to share that we will be launching our first electric vehicle (EV) pilot programme this month, with Bali as the starting point. This green initiative is just one of many steps we’re taking to promote responsible tourism and reduce our environmental footprint.
We continue to focus on our core destinations of Sumatra, Java, Bali, Lombok and Labuan Bajo (Komodo Island), which are currently in high demand. At the same time, our Travelife certification training is progressing well across all departments, reinforcing our commitment to ethical and sustainable operations.
While we’re not participating in any travel fairs or promotional events this month, our teams are fully focused on delivering outstanding experiences for clients on the ground. With more European travellers arriving this year than in the same period in 2024, it’s an exciting time for inbound tourism to Indonesia.
Wishing you all a joyful Summer 2025!
Best regards,
Ricky Setiawanto,
Director of Business Development, Panorama Destination Indonesia
