Festivals, Flowers & Fun: Events Coming Up in July

Thailand is stepping into July with a vibrant array of festivals and events that blend cultural heritage, wellness, nature and nightlife. In this article, we give a flavour of what’s on offer in the weeks ahead.

From now until early August, the Cities in Bloom exhibition at Bangkok’s TCDC Gallery brings together the floral icons of four provinces – Thong Kwao, Ratchaphruek, Kalapapruek and Hibiscus – through immersive art installations and interactive workshops.

Meanwhile, in northern Thailand, the Charm of Nan Illumination will light up the historic city walls on Friday and Saturday evenings, complemented by a local craft market and live Lanna music.

Flower lovers and photographers will also appreciate the Krachiao Flower Fields at Pa Hin Ngam and Sai Thong National Parks, where vivid blossoms are expected to bloom into August.

Meanwhile, health-conscious travellers can visit the Phuket Health Expo (2–6 July), a showcase of wellness tourism designed to reinforce Phuket’s growing reputation as a holistic-health hub.

Beach-goers are in for a treat at Koh Phangan’s Phangan Music & Wonder Magic Lights (4–6 July), combining vibrant music stages with seaside revelry under the stars.

Traditional culture shines through in Saraburi’s Tak Bat Dok Mai Khao Phansa (9–11 July), a unique floweroffering ceremony marking Buddhist Lent, and the stunning Ubon Ratchathani Candle Festival (9–13 July), featuring intricately carved wax floats and evening parades of light.

For fitness fans, the Ayutthaya Night Run (5 July) offers a 5km route lit by lanterns through the ancient capital, while the Pattaya Marathon 2025 (19-20 July) in Chon Buri will gather over 30,000 runners and families from around the world.

Pai Jazz & Blues Festival (18–20 July) invites music lovers to relax with live tunes in the serene Shan hills. The festival aims to promote music appreciation and cultural tourism in the region.

Whether visitors seek floral artistry, spiritual rituals, wellness or live entertainment, Thailand’s July calendar promises something for everyone.
