Destination: Thailand

A message from Panorama Destination Thailand

Hello partners,

September brings both challenges and opportunities for travel in Thailand. While the Thailand–Cambodia land border remains closed until further notice, tourists can still travel easily by air. Cross-border options are also improving – from 1 September, Laos has launched a new online arrival registration system, making it simpler for travellers from Thailand to enter by both land and air.

Air connectivity continues to expand. Starting 1 December, AirAsia will open two new routes from Bangkok Don Muang (DMK); to Almaty, Kazakhstan (XJ 852 DMK–ALA 17:00–22:10 / XJ 853 ALA–DMK 23:35–08:05); and to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia (XJ 920 DMK–RUH 16:00–20:20 / XJ 921 RUH–DMK 21:35–08:45). Reservations for these flights are already available in September.

Our featured destination this month is Bangkok—the sleepless city of golden temples, riverside markets, world-class dining and two international airports. We are also highlighting Thailand’s role in film tourism, with the new Jurassic World – Rebirth movie filmed here, creating added buzz for international audiences.

Although September is rainy season, Thailand remains safe and welcoming. Northern provinces have seen short-lived floods, while Phuket occasionally restricts small boats. Yet travellers continue to enjoy lush landscapes, fresh air, land excursions and nearby beaches. We are currently hosting European groups and FIT clients exploring Thailand’s diverse experiences.

If you have clients planning their trip to Thailand in the months agead, we recommend you take advantage of our early bird promotion, valid until 31 October for travel from 1 November 2025. Contact us to plan unforgettable holidays in the Land of Smiles.

Warm regards,

Pat Pattaranan Sappattarabune
