Vietnam Tourism: Growth Trajectory, Policies and Opportunities  

Vietnam has become one of the fastest-growing tourism destinations in the world in 2025, recording expansion far above the global average. International arrivals rose by 21 percent compared to 2024, placing the country on par with Japan for the highest growth rate worldwide. From January to August 2025, Vietnam welcomed 13.9 million foreign visitors and generated about US$21.3 billion in tourism revenue.

Ho Chi Minh City Strengthens Tourism Promotion at ITB Asia 2025  

The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism organised the Vietnam – Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Promotion Program in Singapore 2025, from 14-19 October 2025, on the occasion of ITB Asia 2025. The promotion program featured a variety of vibrant and creative activities, harmoniously combining tourism promotion, product and service marketing, and the introduction of traditional culture and arts, thereby creating a strong impression of Vietnam’s tourism image.

Vietnam Aims for 25 Million International Arrivals By Year-end 2025  

With less than four months left in 2025, Việt Nam’s tourism industry is ramping up efforts to meet the ambitious goals set under Government Resolution 226, which aims to attract 25 million international visitors and 150 million domestic travellers. Cao Trí Dũng, Chairman of Đà Nẵng’s Tourism Association and the Vietnam Society of Travel Agents, shared insights on how the sector is mobilising resources and initiatives to turn those targets into reality.

Sun PhuQuoc Airways Launches New Routes  

Sun PhuQuoc Airways, a Vietnamese newcomer, is set to influence the country’s expanding tourism industry and the competitive aviation sector. The airline intends to buy 100 Airbus and Boeing jets over the next five years, seeking to become an important participant in the domestic and international airline industry and starting commercial flights on 1 November 2025. Because of the connection of the airline to tourism hubs and the parent company’s integrated network of resorts, Sun PhuQuoc is projected to take in several million tourists and turn in significant profits, notwithstanding the complexity of competing against large, well-established aviation companies.
