A message from Panorama Destination Indonesia
Warm greetings from Indonesia.
As 2025 draws to a close, Indonesia continues to strengthen its position as one of Asia’s most dynamic and diverse tourism destinations. The Ministry of Tourism has recently launched a new nationwide campaign highlighting wellness, gastronomy and marine tourism, while the government has also announced a new Indonesia–South Africa visa-free entry policy, aimed at boosting connectivity and expanding visitor markets across both regions.
December is always one of Indonesia’s most vibrant months, with celebrations and festivals taking place nationwide, in locations from Bali to Jakarta and Yogyakarta. Here’s a few of our favourite events coming up this month:
- Djakarta Warehouse Project (DWP)
12–14 December 2025, GWK Cultural Park, Bali. One of Asia’s largest EDM festivals, featuring global DJs, impressive production, and a spectacular outdoor venue.
- JakJazz Festival
20 December 2025, Senayan Park, Jakarta. A legendary jazz event showcasing both national and international artists.
- Big Bang Festival 2025
24 December 2025 – 4 January 2026, JIExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta. A massive year-end celebration combining a clearance expo, music performances, and culinary attractions.
- Swara Prambanan – End-of-Year Twilight Music Festival
31 December 2025, Prambanan Temple Tourism Park, Yogyakarta. A magical open-air concert under the stars, complete with cultural showcases, local craft workshops, markets, and fireworks.
Speaking of Yogyakarta, our team recently completed an Overland Tour Guide Training in this storied city. This session was designed to strengthen guide expertise, enhance the guest experience and support the continuous development of our on-ground operations. This month, our attention remains firmly on Java, Bali and Lombok, ensuring we continue to deliver exceptional service and memorable experiences across Indonesia’s most popular destinations.
