Greetings from Thailand!
The Land of Smiles continues to see strong travel demand as the high season remains in full swing, with destinations across the country welcoming visitors from Europe and the USA. In aviation news, Thai Airways has announced a new Bangkok–Amsterdam route launching on 1 July 2026, alongside additional summer flights effective from 29 March, improving connectivity and supporting Thailand’s growing long-haul market.
Other developments include plans to raise the international passenger service fee from June 2026, new luxury hospitality concepts such as the Louis Vuitton Hotel Bangkok and innovative urban initiatives – from expanded cycling infrastructure to a new canal boat route linking Bang Lamphu and Ong Ang to revitalise Bangkok’s historic waterways and creative districts.
March brings important cultural observances and events across the Kingdom. Makha Bucha Day on 3 March is a significant Buddhist holiday, during which temples host merit-making ceremonies and our Bangkok office will be closed in observance. Throughout the month, festivals under the “Colours of Thailand” theme highlight regional traditions, cuisine, and crafts, offering travellers rich cultural experiences nationwide.
Panorama Destination will also participate in ITB Berlin from 3–5 March (Hall 26, Stand 110), where we look forward to strengthening partnerships and presenting our latest responsible travel products.
Our focus this month is Bangkok – the sleepless city – where tradition and modernity meet. We are proud to promote our Bangkok City Tour by Public Transportation; a responsible travel experience that explores the capital via river boats, tuk-tuks, the BTS Skytrain and metro. Highlights include the Grand Palace, Wat Pho, Wat Arun, Chinatown and Siam Square, demonstrating how sustainable mobility can enhance urban discovery.
