A message from Panorama Destination Indonesia
Greetings from Indonesia!
As Indonesia enters one of its busiest travel periods, our team is fully prepared to deliver exceptional service to our valued clients throughout the high season in July and August. With excellent weather conditions across much of the archipelago, increased international flight connectivity and a vibrant calendar of cultural events, this is one of the best times of year to experience the diversity of Indonesia.
July also marks the start of the new academic year, with domestic travel remaining strong during the school holiday period. In Bali, the renowned Bali Arts Festival (Pesta Kesenian Bali) continues throughout the month, showcasing traditional and contemporary performances that celebrate the island’s rich cultural heritage. The festival remains one of Indonesia’s most important cultural events, attracting visitors from across the country and around the world.
Our key destinations this month include Lake Toba and Bukit Lawang in North Sumatra, Yogyakarta and Borobudur in Central Java, Mount Bromo in East Java, Toraja in South Sulawesi, as well as Bali, Lombok and Komodo. For travellers seeking more adventurous experiences, we offer unmissable journeys to destinations such as Wae Rebo Village in Flores, Mount Rinjani in Lombok, Tanjung Puting National Park in Central Kalimantan and the orangutan habitats of Bukit Lawang.
At the end of June, our Bali team participated in a comprehensive first aid training programme, strengthening essential emergency response skills through practical, hands-on exercises. This forms part of our ongoing commitment to maintaining a safe and professional working environment.
Looking ahead, we are pleased to see strong demand from the European market, with visitor numbers expected to exceed the same period in 2025. To all our partners, we extend a warm welcome to Indonesia this July; from spectacular natural landscapes and extraordinary wildlife encounters to colourful festivals and rich cultural traditions, we look forward to helping your clients create unforgettable memories across our remarkable archipelago.
Best wishes,

Ricky Setiawanto,
Director of Business Development, Panorama Destination Indonesia
