Seasonal Weather Note:
From November to February, Borneo (Sabah & Sarawak) experiences its wet season. Rainfall can be unpredictable—sometimes it rains, sometimes it doesn’t. Showers may also occur within rainforest areas, so please be prepared for occasional rain during outdoor activities.
Packing Tips for Wet Season:
- Lightweight rain jacket or poncho – easy to carry and quick to dry
- Waterproof footwear or sandals – for muddy trails and sudden showers
- Quick-dry clothing – breathable fabrics that dry fast
- Dry bags or waterproof pouches – to protect electronics and travel documents
- Insect repellent – rain can increase mosquito activity
- Small umbrella – handy for city walks or light showers.
