A message from Panorama Destination Indonesia
Dear Partners,
September is shaping up to be another busy month for Panorama Destination Indonesia, with visitor numbers remaining strong and particularly healthy demand from our European markets. Our team is especially looking forward to attending IFTM Top Resa in Paris from 15–17 September, where you can meet us at Hall 1, Stand D030 at Porte de Versailles. We hope to see many of our partners there and share the latest news, products and travel opportunities from across Indonesia.
September is a wonderful time to experience the extraordinary diversity of our archipelago. From Bali and Lombok to the volcanic landscapes of Bromo and Ijen, the wildlife of Bukit Lawang and Komodo, the cultural heritage of Borobudur and Toraja, and the spectacular scenery of Lake Toba, every destination offers a different story. We invite travellers to look beyond the famous sights too – meeting local communities, discovering authentic cuisine and experiencing the traditions that continue to shape Indonesia.
There is plenty to look forward to in the events calendar this month (and beyond). Solo International Performing Arts returns from 10–12 September, followed by the Bali International Airshow from 24–27 September. Looking further ahead, Andrea Bocelli will bring his Romanza – 30th Anniversary World Tour to Indonesia, with performances scheduled at Borobudur on 31 October and in Jakarta on 3 November.
You may have seen stories of fires and earthquakes in the news recently. Indonesian authorities are responding to forest and land fires in Kalimantan with ground firefighting, aerial water bombing, satellite monitoring and other measures. Tourism continues to operate as normal outside affected areas, including Tanjung Puting National Park, while air quality, visibility and transport conditions are being closely monitored. In East Nusa Tenggara, aftershocks have continued following the earthquake that affected Flores in August. Impacts remain localised, and tourism services in unaffected areas continue to operate normally. As always, our team is monitoring developments closely and will keep partners informed of any changes affecting travel arrangements.
At Panorama Destination Indonesia, we believe travel is about more than visiting a destination; it is about creating meaningful connections with people, cultures and nature, and returning home with lifelong memories. Wherever your clients are travelling with us this September, we look forward to welcoming them and helping them discover Indonesia with curiosity, respect and an open heart.
Best wishes,

Ricky Setiawanto,
Director of Business Development, Panorama Destination Indonesia
