Bali’s new flight routes open up easy access to Lombok and Labuan Bajo  

One of the most significant impacts of the new international flight routes is the potential to enhance multi-destination travel in Indonesia. Bali tourists now have the opportunity to embark on more seamless, multi-stop vacations across the country. Rather than returning to Bali between destinations, tourists can now enjoy a fluid journey, starting in Bali, exploring the islands of Gili, then heading to Lombok, and continuing their journey to Labuan Bajo.

Indonesia offers ferry discounts to boost Christmas-New Year travel  

State-owned ferry operator PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry said on Friday it will offer discounts of up to 19 percent during the 2025/2026 Christmas and New Year holidays to support the government’s transport stimulus program. CEO Heru Widodo said the fare incentives aim to strengthen interregional connectivity and boost economic and tourism activity at the end of the year.

Indonesia launches tourism outlook guide to 2025/26  

Indonesia’s Tourism Ministry has launched the Indonesia Tourism Outlook 2025/2026, a policy guide aimed at strengthening the country’s tourism direction amid global economic uncertainty and rapid industry shifts. Tourism Minister Widiyanti Putri Wardhana said the publication is expected to provide shared insights and strategic alignment for the nation’s tourism development over the next two years.

Indonesia set to open new port in East Bali  

The East Bali Port, which is currently under construction, will provide new access to the islands from Bali, plus the addition of the islands of  Nusa Penida and  Gili Trawangan, thus enhancing the accessibility of the Bali Golden Triangle region. Enhancing and expanding maritime route access will facilitate the connectivity between the islands, leading to further economic development of the region. This will boost tourism and open access to the Golden Triangle region, which is growing in popularity.
