Tourism Malaysia is stepping up efforts to attract Singaporean tourists by connecting travel agents from both sides of the Causeway through business-to-business (B2B) sessions. Tourism Malaysia deputy director-general (promotions II) Lee Thai Hung said the business matching was held in conjunction with the three-day Star Karnival Cuti-Cuti Malaysia (SKCCM) at Paradigm Mall Convention Centre.

Malaysia promotes cruises, nature, culture and urban attractions ahead of Visit Malaysia 2026 Campaign 

In anticipation of the Visit Malaysia 2026 campaign, Tourism Malaysia is intensifying its promotional efforts in Vietnam through a series of Thematic FAM trips planned to further strengthen the two countries’ bilateral tourism ties. With Vietnam still one of Malaysia’s key Southeast Asian tourism markets, the FAM trips would expose Vietnamese travel agencies, media, and KOLs to Malaysia’s diverse tourism offerings, covering a wide range of themes, such as cruise tourism, nature-based tourism and urban attractions.

Vibrant Food & Culture Evening to boost regional tourism  

To solidify tourism linkages between Malaysia and Maldives, the High Commission of Malaysia to Sri Lanka and Maldives, together with Velana Beach Hotel, organised the Malaysia Food & Culture Evening, held at the Velana Beach Hotel on 22 November 2025 at 4:00 PM. This event was an integral component of Malaysia’s Visit Malaysia Year 2026 (VM2026) Campaign, which aims to promote Malaysia’s rich cultural heritage, eco-tourism and creative tourism. Malaysia is expected to provide an innovative value proposition in hospitality, and the event will help spotlight Malaysia’s tourism offerings in the Maldives market.
