Malaysia remains a key market for Scoot, the low-cost carrier of the Singapore Airlines (SIA) Group, driven by sustained demand for leisure and business travel, the airline’s chief commercial officer Calvin Chan said. Scoot currently serves 12 destinations in Malaysia, with 130 weekly flights between both countries.

Malaysia’s one-off F1 race could boost tourism and test a permanent Sepang return  

Malaysia is set to welcome Formula One back to the Sepang International Circuit for the first time since 2017, after agreeing to host the 2026 Bahrain Grand Prix on 4 October. The one-off arrangement, made in partnership with the governments of Malaysia and Bahrain, Formula One and the FIA, will replace Bahrain’s cancelled race while maintaining the championship calendar. The event is expected to boost Malaysia’s international profile and attract motorsport fans from across the region, with ticket details to be announced in due course.

MyBHA signs three MoUs with Thai organisations to support Visit Malaysia 2026  

The Malaysia Budget & Business Hotel Association (MyBHA) has signed three memoranda of understanding (MoUs) with Thai tourism and business organisations to strengthen bilateral tourism cooperation in conjunction with Visit Malaysia 2026 (VM2026). The agreements were signed with the Thai Travel Agents Association, the Thai Medical and Wellness Tourism Association and CHG Global Organization during the Visit Malaysia 2026 Seminar & Networking Session organised by Tourism Malaysia Bangkok.
