Vietnam’s tourism sector makes strong impression at EXPO 2026
From 12-14 February, Vietnam showcased its tourism assets at the HOLIDAY & SPA EXPO 2026, a prominent annual travel exhibition in Bulgaria and the Balkans, in an effort to increase its influence in Southeast Europe. The exhibition took place at the IEC Inter Expo Center in Sofia, attracting a diverse array of over 250 exhibitors from various continents such as Europe, Asia and Africa.

The golden era of Vietnam: why is tourism flourishing?
At a time when prominent Asian destinations such as Thailand and Cambodia are witnessing a noticeable decline in visitor numbers, Vietnam is experiencing what can be described as a golden era in the tourism sector. According to data from the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT), the country kicked off 2026 by achieving an unprecedented record, having welcomed around 2.5 million international tourists in January alone, an increase of 18.5% compared to the same period last year.
