A message from Panorama Destination Indonesia
Greetings from Indonesia!
April is one of the most vibrant and rewarding times to experience Indonesia. Across the archipelago, a rich calendar of cultural and wellness events offers travellers unique opportunities to engage more deeply with the nation’s rich traditions and contemporary creative scene.
Among the highlights, the Solo Menari Festival in Surakarta (29 April) transforms the city into a spectacular stage for mass traditional dance performances, celebrating Indonesia’s artistic heritage on a grand scale. In Bali, the Bali Spirit Festival (15–19 April 2026) continues to attract a global audience with its unique blend of yoga, meditation, music and healing arts. The Easter holiday period (3–5 April) also provides an ideal window for travel, with many destinations offering a lively yet relaxed atmosphere.
Our focus this month remains on some of Indonesia’s most iconic and diverse destinations, including Lake Toba, Bukit Lawang and its orangutan habitats, Flores and Komodo National Park, Bali, Borobudur and Yogyakarta, as well as Lombok and the Gili Islands. Key programmes, such as our Java–Bali Overland journey, Flores–Komodo luxury experiences, and the Wake Up in Bali, offer curated itineraries designed to showcase the very best Indonesia has to offer.
While ongoing geopolitical developments in the Middle East have created some challenges for European travel routes, we are pleased to see continued strong interest from other regions, as well as alternative flight connections via major hubs such as Doha, Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
April is truly a special time to visit Indonesia. From world-class festivals and culinary showcases to breathtaking landscapes and deeply rooted cultural traditions, the country offers an unmatched diversity of experiences. With improving infrastructure, enhanced connectivity and a strong commitment to sustainable tourism, travel across Indonesia is becoming increasingly seamless and meaningful. We look forward to welcoming your clients and partners to explore the richness of our destinations.
Wishing you a joyful Easter and a wonderful month ahead.
Warm regards,

Ricky Setiawanto,
