The Land of Smiles continues to strengthen its position as a leading destination in Asia, with a growing focus on wellness tourism, alongside recent recognition of Bangkok as the first city in Asia-Pacific to receive the UNDP Gold certification for gender equality. While some airline route adjustments have been announced due to rising fuel costs, international connectivity remains strong, supporting continued travel demand into the country.
The month ahead brings a number of important national holidays, including Labour Day (1 May), Coronation Day (4 May), and Visakha Bucha Day (1 June), along with vibrant celebrations such as the Bangkok Pride Festival on 31 May. Our focus this month highlights Thailand’s premier wellness destinations, including Bangkok, Hua Hin, Chiang Mai, Phuket and Koh Samui, complemented by our Thailand Summer Promotion, featuring a 5-day, 4-night journey across Bangkok, Phuket and Chiang Mai.
We are pleased to see strong client movement, with over 400 travellers from Europe already exploring Thailand in April, and continued arrivals expected throughout May from Europe and the United States. Many are combining Thailand with neighbouring destinations such as Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam. To further enhance our service quality, our team will undertake inspection trips this month across key destinations such as Koh Yao, Krabi and Pattaya.
As Thailand enters its warm season, this is an ideal time for beach holidays and wellness retreats by the sea. Despite ongoing border closures between Thailand and Cambodia, the destination remains highly accessible, safe and appealing.
