Destination: Thailand

A message from Panorama Destination Thailand

Hello from Bangkok!

There’s lots to report from Thailand in the latest edition of our monthly newsletter, so let’s jump right in.

First and foremost, Thailand has fully resumed normal operations following the earthquake on 28th March. I can confirm that all airports remain operational and tourist attractions are unaffected. Business has returned to normal, ensuring a seamless experience for visitors.

Looking ahead, Thailand is preparing for two significant celebrations: Chakri Day from 6-7 April and the Songkran Water Festival (Thai New Year) from 13-16 April. Songkran is celebrated across the country, offering a vibrant and unforgettable cultural experience. If you’re in Thailand this month, it’s sure to be a major highlight, and one that’s not to be missed. Bangkok, Chiang Mai and Pattaya are the top recommended destinations to experience the water festival festivities.

This month, our focus is on promoting Songkran activities across Thailand. While we won’t be attending any travel fairs in April, we continue to welcome travellers from around the world, including groups and independent travellers from Europe, the USA and South America.

As we move into the low season, Thailand offers an excellent opportunity for a more relaxed and less crowded vacation. The weather is hot and humid, making it the perfect time for a beach getaway in Phuket, Khao Lak or Koh Samui. And, of course, April brings Thailand’s biggest celebration—Thai New Year and the lively water-splashing festival across the country.

We look forward to welcoming travellers and sharing the best of Thailand!

Best wishes,

Pat Pattaranan Sappattarabune
