Country Manager Message – Vietnam
Warm greetings from Vietnam,
February is one of the most meaningful times to experience Vietnam, as the country prepares to welcome Tết Nguyên Đán, the Lunar New Year and the most important celebration of the year. From 16–22 February 2026, Vietnam slows its pace as families reunite, homes are adorned with flowers and age-old traditions bring a deep sense of renewal and hope.
This month, our destination focus turns to the Mekong Delta — an essential chapter in any journey through Vietnam. Often called the waterways of the South, the Delta reveals a gentle rhythm of life shaped by rivers and canals. Beyond the scenery lies a rich culinary heritage, from fragrant sour soups and caramelised pork to crispy bánh xèo and the iconic elephant-ear fish. Yet it is the warmth of the people — open-hearted, generous, and deeply welcoming — that leaves the strongest impression on every visitor.
We have been delighted to welcome a variety of guests recently. A family of six from Australia experienced the Mekong in style, beginning in Bến Tre with tranquil sampan rides and a visit to a traditional coconut factory, before continuing to Cần Thơ to explore the lively Cái Răng Floating Market at dawn. Along the way, hands-on visits to a local noodle factory and the elegant Nhà Cổ Bình Thủy created moments of curiosity, learning and shared discovery — memories treasured by both children and adults alike.
Meanwhile, guests from the UK explored Hanoi beyond its iconic landmarks, discovering the capital through quiet streets, bustling markets, and meaningful local encounters. Through these moments, Hanoi revealed itself not just as a historic city, but as a living tapestry of daily rituals, traditions, and stories.
For Vietnamese people, Tết is more than the beginning of a new year — it is a time of return: to family, to home and to what matters most. As the old year is gently closed and the new one welcomed with gratitude and hope, we extend our warmest wishes to our partners and clients. May the Year of the Horse bring you peace, happiness and fulfilment – we warmly invite you to join us in Vietnam to experience the spirit of Tết for yourself.
Warmest wishes,
Nguyen Thi Minh Trang
