Hello from Thailand!
February is a particularly attractive time to travel in Thailand, with pleasant weather, vibrant festivals and strong international connectivity continuing across the country. While the Thailand–Cambodia land border remains closed, travel between the two countries by air is operating normally.
This month also marks an important moment domestically, with Thailand’s general election scheduled for 8 February 2026. Travel services across the country continue to operate as usual, and we remain attentive to ensuring smooth and well-coordinated journeys for our partners and clients.
Thailand’s festival calendar brings colour and energy to February. Chinese New Year (15–17 February) is celebrated widely, particularly in Bangkok and major cities, adding festive atmosphere with decorations, performances, and special dining experiences. In the north, Chiang Mai Flower Festival (13–15 February) transforms the city with elaborate floral displays, decorative floats and lively parades showcasing the region’s natural beauty. Later in the month, the Chiang Mai Night Market continues every Sunday from 18 February through to 1 March, offering visitors a chance to experience local crafts, street food and evening culture.
Our destination focus this month is Chiang Mai, which is at its best in February. This is the final opportunity of the season to enjoy the cool northern breeze before temperatures rise, making it an ideal time for cultural exploration, outdoor markets and festival experiences. Beyond the north, February’s sunny and dry weather also makes Thailand’s coastal regions especially appealing, with calm, clear seas creating excellent conditions for beach stays, snorkelling and diving in the southern islands.
From a market perspective, demand remains strong. We continue to receive five charter flights weekly from Poland, alongside a steady flow of group travel from Europe and the USA, as well as FIT travellers exploring multiple regions across Thailand. This ongoing interest reflects continued confidence in Thailand as a diverse and rewarding destination.
Finally, regarding the Nipah virus, Thailand remains a safe and welcoming destination. At this time, no cases of Nipah infection have been reported in Thailand; there is no evidence of local transmission, and the public health situation in the country remains stable.
As February unfolds, we warmly invite you to make the most of this exceptional season — whether enjoying the cool charm of Chiang Mai, celebrating colourful festivals, or relaxing along Thailand’s sunlit shores. We look forward to supporting your programmes and welcoming your guests throughout the month ahead.
Warm regards,
