Welcome to Thailand, the Land of Smiles! A country where golden temples shine, tropical beaches dazzle, and vibrant cities pulse with life. Indulge in world-famous Thai cuisine, explore ancient temples, or relax on pristine white-sand beaches.
Whether you’re chasing waterfalls, shopping in floating markets, or diving into turquoise waters, Thailand promises unforgettable moments at every turn. Ready for the journey of a lifetime? Let’s explore Thailand!
Hello from Thailand!
We have some exciting developments to share with you this month. Bangkok will soon launch Thailand’s first electric taxi boats, making sustainable water transport a reality on the Chao Phraya River. At the same time, the city has welcomed a new landmark with the opening of Dusit Central Park – a mixed-use development that combines modern living with cultural heritage.
October is also an important month for festivals and events here in the Land of Smiles. On 13 October, we will observe King Bhumibol (Rama IX) Memorial Day, followed by King Chulalongkorn (Rama V) Memorial Day on 23 October (please note our office will be closed on both these dates). In Phuket, the famous Vegetarian Festival brings vibrant processions and cultural traditions, while many other festivals are taking place across the country, offering visitors a unique way to experience Thai culture.
From 15-17 October, I’ll be attending ITB Asia 2025 in Singapore alongside our colleagues from Indonesia, Malaysia and Vietnam, and look forward to connecting with many of our global partners there too. Meanwhile, within Thailand, now is a great time to explore popular destinations such as Bangkok, Phuket and Krabi, which are pleasantly less crowded before the high season begins.
This month, I’d especially like to highlight four gems in Krabi:
If your clients would be interested in exploring any of these destinations, then please don’t hesitate to get in touch. Our team will be happy to recommend a complete tour programme, or design the perfect bespoke trip for your clients.
At Panorama Destination Thailand, we’ve also been busy with regional training sessions for our guides and suppliers in Bangkok, Chiang Mai and Phuket to ensure everyone is ready to deliver the best experiences for the upcoming high season. We are already welcoming European travellers across the country, and from October we also look forward to hosting more visitors from the US market.
Finally, I’d like to remind partners and clients that October is the perfect month to take advantage of last-minute summer promotions in Thailand. With cooler weather, minimal rainfall and attractive hotel deals available until the end of the month, it’s the ideal time to plan your high-season travel. Please reach out to us for the latest offers and updates.
Warm regards,
Pat Pattaranan Sappattarabune
