Set Sail for Adventure: Malaysia International Boat Show 2025 Drops Anchor in Langkawi

Langkawi, Malaysia’s premier island getaway, is preparing to welcome the world’s seafaring elite with the debut of the Malaysia International Boat Show (MYBOS) 2025.

Scheduled from 21–24 May at the Royal Langkawi Yacht Club, this landmark event will mark a new chapter in Malaysia’s growing reputation as a regional hub for luxury yachting, marine tourism and the wider maritime lifestyle.

MYBOS 2025 has been strategically timed to coincide with the Langkawi International Maritime & Aerospace Exhibition (LIMA), which is one of the largest maritime and aerospace events in Asia.

Malaysia’s Answer to Monaco

The event is co-organised by the Langkawi Development Authority (LADA), the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (MOTAC), and the Ministry of Transport, with long-standing nautical advocate Sail Malaysia acting as the official Show Partner.

In its inaugural edition, the Malaysia International Boat Show aims to position Langkawi as Southeast Asia’s answer to Monaco or Fort Lauderdale—a destination where leisure, innovation and maritime heritage come together. With the crystal-clear Andaman Sea as a backdrop, MYBOS 2025 will showcase an impressive lineup of vessels, from luxury yachts and catamarans to sport fishing boats and marine technology solutions.

Among the 23 participating yacht operators and exhibitors are respected names in the marine industry including Malaysia Yacht Support Services, Pen Marine, Nova Nautical, Simpson Marine, Tropical Charters, Platinum Charters, Pangkor Marina, Flexiteek and Garmin. These exhibitors will be on hand to present the latest in marine design, equipment and services—offering a glimpse into the future of recreational boating and sustainable marine tourism.

A Wide Range of Attractions for Visitors to Enjoy

The event promises more than just boats. Attendees can enjoy exciting demonstrations such as flyboarding, jet-ski stunt shows and hands-on experiences with new water sports technologies. Seminars, networking sessions, and guided tours of select vessels will also be available, making the show both informative and immersive for first-time boaters, seasoned sailors, and industry professionals alike.

“We’re excited to launch MYBOS as a signature event on Malaysia’s marine tourism calendar,” said organisers in a joint statement. “It reflects our ambition to elevate Malaysia as a world-class destination for yachting and nautical lifestyle experiences.”

Riding the Wave of International Interest in Maritime Tourism

Langkawi’s duty-free status, well-developed marina infrastructure, and natural appeal make it a fitting host. With the global boating industry on a steady rise and an increasing number of high-net-worth individuals seeking lifestyle-based investments and experiences, MYBOS 2025 is poised to become a regional flagship event.

Whether you’re shopping for your next yacht, exploring marine innovations or simply looking to soak up the seaside atmosphere, MYBOS 2025 offers an unmatched opportunity to engage with the heart of Asia’s nautical community.
