eVisa

Nationals of the People’s Republic of China and India are granted a 30-day visa exemption for social visits to Malaysia, valid from December 1, 2023, to December 31, 2024.
Beyond social visits, applicants from the following categories can also apply for an eVisa:
- Students
- Expatriates
- Medical visitors under the Malaysia Healthcare Travelers Program (MHTP)
- Foreign workers
Requirement for a Tourist Visa
The following documents must be scanned and uploaded when applying for eVISA:
- Latest passport-size studio photo;
- The passport page (with a validity of at least 6 months from the date of travel) which contains applicant’s information
- Confirmed return flight ticket;
- Birth certificate for applicants under the age of majority;
- Proof of accommodation; and
- Other related supporting documents.
Visa on Arrival
Nationals of China and India arriving directly from Indonesia, Singapore or Thailand, and holding a valid visa for those countries, can obtain a visa on arrival for a maximum stay of seven (7) days (that cannot be extended) at Kuala Lumpur–International (KUL), Johor Bahru (JHB), Kota Kinabalu (BKI), Kuching (KCH) and Penang (PEN), provided they are in possession of return flight tickets and at least USD 1,000 per person. The visa fee is 395 Malaysian ringit. Other currencies are not accepted. Boarding pass or tickets are required to prove that you have arrived from a specific country.
